▶ Let imaginations run wild by having kids’ favourite movie/TV stars round for a picnic. Let them dress up and face-paint as their favourite characters. (Adults too - we won’t stand in the way of your Wonder Woman or Iron Man dreams!).
▶ Ahoy, maties! Where be treasure? Scatter the likes of sweets or even some of your kids’ favourite toys for them to find. If your kids are a little older you could plan a hunt with questions and clues, Incorporating some of their favourite movies, games and shows.
▶ Have some indoor adventure with trips to the likes of JumpZone in Dublin, Jumplanes Indoor Trampoline Centre in Limerick, Adventure Alley in Wexford, or Waterworld in Donegal.
▶ Take a day trip under cover for when the clouds open up. A trip to the Natural History Museum or even to somewhere like Wicklow Goal or the National Museum. Have plenty of fun exploring before returning home to watch Night At The Museum (now showing on Netflix, channel 999 on Virgin TV) to continue the historical fun.
▶ We doubt you want to even look outside, so why not pull the curtains and bring the duvets to the sitting room for your very own home cinema movie marathon day!
