The TGA Gallery Club is where fans of the game come together to support, celebrate, and shape the future of golf in Texas. It’s Golf’s Greatest Fan Club – Powered by You.
Whether you’re a casual golfer, lifelong player, or just someone who loves what golf brings to people’s lives, the TGA Gallery Club is your way to give back and get involved. It’s our version of a front-row cheer squad – and every member plays a role in helping the game grow stronger, more inclusive, and more fun for everyone.
In a series of TGA Gallery Club impact stories, this issue of Lone Star Golf focuses on growing the game statewide and highlights how your annual membership directly fuels the TGA’s ongoing efforts to expand its programming in ways that intentionally reach new golfers, new regions, and new communities across Texas.
Growing Golf by Going Where Golfers Are
One of the great things about traveling across the diverse landscape of the Lone Star State is that you’ll find enthusiastic golfers enjoying the game in all the different and distant places.
No matter how far and wide you roam, Texans of all ages and at every stage of the game are getting outdoors and teeing it up on the many wonderful courses that can be found in every region of the state.
And the TGA is continuing its efforts to grow the game statewide by connecting with golfers in outlying areas and bringing recreational and competitive playing opportunities right where they are.
In 2026, the TGA is expanding programs in ways that intentionally reach new golfers, new regions, and new communities across Texas – not just by adding events, which is always a plus, but also by broadening who the game is for and providing more chances to play close to home.
Among the most recent expansion highlight efforts include:
New West Texas Medalist RegionThree new events added to serve golfers in a part of the state with fewer TGA opportunities
Expanded Texas League PlayNew conferences and inclusion of 9-hole courses designed to welcome more clubs and golfers into spirited, organized competitions
Additional Member EventsA total of 35 Member Events scheduled around the state, including stops in resort locations and beautiful small towns
Bringing Championships to New MarketsIn 2025, the Texas Senior Amateur was held at McAllen Country Club, the first state championship to be played in the Rio Grande Valley in over 20 years, while the Women’s Texas Amateur returned to Corpus Christi Country Club on the Gulf Coast after a 50-year hiatus
More Golf Nearby
The TGA’s ongoing mission is to grow the game wherever it is played and meet Texas golfers right where they are by offering more accessible and convenient playing opportunities in their surrounding areas. After all, we believe those big drives are better suited for the golf course, not on the road traveling to play in an event.
You Help Bring the Game Closer to Home
As a TGA Gallery Club member, your support helps power TGA expansion plans into new regions that encourage more golfers to take part in the game and engage with each other and their community through shared experiences on the course.
Together, we’re helping Watch Golf Win and Growing the Game by Going Where Golfers Are.
