At Washington Golf & Country Club, we are fortunate to have members who support our golf shop through traditional and event style buying experiences. Over the years, we have built strong vendor relationships and have provided our members with unique merchandising events. Leveraging partner relationships can be a huge win for your members and a big help in managing inventory levels. One example is our “Sip & Shop Vendor Spotlights” in high traffic areas, as our vendors show their various product lines while shoppers sip on complimentary wine and beverages.
We also do other variations during the holiday season, inviting several vendors to participate in a holiday trunk show in the main ballroom of our clubhouse. Special orders are written to drive sales while keeping inventory levels down. We have also worked with our vendors to create custom WG&CC microsites specifically for junior programs, member guest events and holidays, along with Mother’s and Father’s Day gift giving. Our vendors want to partner with us, offering staff apparel packages and discounts on late shipment deliveries…all you have to do is ask. That’s what partnerships are for!
