Since 1968, Springdale has been the choice to retreat and relax in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Once home to Columbia University, students were taught land and farming skills and Springdale carries on that tradition by using as many natural elements, as possible, creating a very natural experience.
With it’s close proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt. Pisgah, Asheville, NC and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Springdale offers the benefits of being close enough yet being far enough away! When you arrive on property, you immediately feel at home in the beauty of Springdale with amenities that satisfy every traveler’s taste. GOLF FACILITIES: Golfers will face many challenges due to the mountain landscape. The Springdale signature hole is called "The Spasm". This hole is a long, difficult, dogleg right hole. A creek guards the right side, off the tee, and crosses the fairway short of the green. To reach the green, which is elevated from the fairway, two well placed shots are required. In the Pro Shop, you will be able to find the latest from Dunning, Titleist, Callaway, Stitch, Foot Joy, Echo and more. Book a golf lesson with one of our Pros and even get some coaching on that swing! Our carts are battery powered, with GPS, and offers quiet transportation in our small slice of paradise.
AWARDS: Springdale Resort was honored to receive the Clubhouse of the Year award in 2022 and the Golden Fork Award in 2023, both presented by Golf Inc. Magazine. Springdale‘s flagship restaurant, the Rocky Face Tavern, has become Haywood County’s favorite restaurant and the love extends into the surrounding counties, winning several “Best of” in our area.
