Two golf courses, a 9-hole course, and an 11-hole par-3 course are set to shine when Cabot Citrus Farms opens its doors this year. Taking full advantage of nature throughout its 1,200 acres, the property near Tampa is set to be a top new destination for golf and real estate. After all, the vision comes from proven leaders in golf, the Cabot Collection, which owns leading international destinations like Canada’s Cabot Cape Breton and the Caribbean’s Cabot St. Lucia.
The golf component is front and center, and it will be very impressive. They turned to architect Kyle Franz to build the brawny new Karoo course. The second layout, The Roost, co-designed by Mike Nuzzo and Kyle Franz, with Ran Morrissett as Golf Course Architecture Advisor, explores the rich landscape of mature oak, palmetto trees, wildflower meadows and wonderful hills. It runs 7,200 yards. To complete the golf offering you’ll enjoy The Squeeze - 9 holes with an emphasis on dramatic visuals and all-around fun, and The Wedge, an 11-hole par-3 course that will be lit for night golf (both were designed by Nuzzo).
