WHY I CARE The Rage Against the Machine rocker, 59, supports the nonprofit Music Will in bringing programs to public schools
Music Will recently named me their Humanitarian of the Year, and the award came with the ability to open 20 music programs in needy schools around the country. Everyone has the musician within them, and Music Will makes it easy to unlock that art. They provide instruments and instructions for the music teachers. What I do at these events is get everyone involved. I’ll play some shredding guitar to blow their minds, but then I’ll also do the Woody Guthrie sing-along of “This Land Is Your Land.” All of a sudden we’re all in a band together. If you weren’t a musician before, you are one right now. —Reported by For more information, go to musicwill.org

Police said Moreno was also carrying a .22-cal. rifle in a bag and claimed to be in possession of a bomb. A motive is unclear, but police said Moreno, who had a history of mental illness, was in a dispute with her ex-husband and his family.
