“Circa Resort is very unique,” says Sasha Lee, director of sales, Circa Resort & Casino. “We’re located in not just Las Vegas but Downtown Las Vegas, which is really a city within a city. We were the first original Strip before the Strip actually ever existed. One of our sister hotels, the Golden Gate, has been there since 1906. So there’s a lot of history there, but it’s been modernized, so it’s really old Vegas meets new.”
Circa opened in 2020 as the first ground-up resort development in Downtown Las Vegas since 1980. Sprawling over 35 floors and offering 777 guest rooms, the adults-only resort also boasts 35,000 sf of flexible meeting space including a 14,456-sf ballroom and a 11,608-sf pre-function space. Each of the resort’s five main meeting spaces have been named after iconic Las Vegas resorts of the past, and its AV facilities are in-house, resulting in up to 40 percent savings versus outsourcing to a third-party supplier. Unique venues include open-air pool destination Stadium Swim, which can be rented for semi-private events or full buyouts for groups of up to 4,000.
“I think a lot of meeting planners are looking for more flexibility, with pricing and also with their program and agenda,” says Lee. “We realize ever since the pandemic happened, everyone’s just trying to pivot at the last minute. There’s a lot of last-minute bookings. What’s great about Circa is that we don’t have to abide by any booking parameters. We don’t have any stringent structures. We can consider groups as low as 10 people to as high up as 500 people, but there aren’t any stringent booking parameters that some of our competitors have. We’re really open to the masses and we want to be a good fit for everybody.”—Steve Grasso
