Prevue: In terms of MICE groups, what’s new for 2024?
Yousfi: We cannot wait to embark on a $188 million renovation of our convention space. This is part of a $1 billion reinvestment into The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas. Nearly every aspect of the guest experience will be touched and when we look at The Venetian Convention Center, we want to ensure attendees have a cohesive experience from the moment they step through the doors.
The updated convention center design will seamlessly integrate traditional architecture with contemporary design elementsthat result in a harmonious fusion of the resort’s rich heritage and modern sophistication.
We’re incorporating moredigital screens throughout and a neutral color palette to offergroups more opportunities for customizing their events. The best part is the renovations won’t impact business.
How are you pushing sustainable innovation?
Sustainability is one of our core pillars. Our industry-leading Green Meetings program measures and reports the impacts of our sustainability efforts, which include event design, reducing waste through the use of digital signage, and recycling. And while it’s a focus in our meeting spaces, it is really part of our overall resort efforts for all of our guests as well as our Team Members. We continually improve our food rescue efforts and have partnered with a number of our groups to rescue unused food and provide it to those in need in our local community.
What are some of the most innovative venues at your property/destination/cruise brand?
Sphere at The Venetian® is groundbreaking and unlike anything else in entertainment. It’s truly one-of-a-kind and we can’t wait to explore how groups can create unforgettable experiences with the 22nd-century technology this venue has pioneered. Voltaire is our newest nightlife venue that blurs the lines between an intimate club, concert, and non-stop entertainment hotspot. We’re excited to have Kylie Minogue be the first headliner to open the venue on November 3 and for Christina Aguilera to unveil her series of performances over New Year’s Eve weekend. They will be the beginning of many sensational headliners that’ll inspire guests to play and dress to impress. The great thing about The Venetian Resort is we were built with meetings in mind, so not only do we have the convention space and the entertainment venues for events, but we have amazing food and beverage offerings that are perfect for networking. Our newest restaurant to open, HaSalon by Chef Eyal Shani, includes several private dining options groups will love. With a focus on food, no two evenings are the same and the energy is always high.
