Evelyn Audet Lighting Design, LLC took on the challenge of lighting the spire and each of the gold “ribs” on the 19th-century Providence, RI, landmark, while minimizing light trespass for nearby residents.
1) Eight fixtures located on parapet corners with 5-by-60-deg beams illuminate the spire.
2) After permission was granted from the Providence Preservation Society, the team implemented new floodlighting on the building façade.
3) Twenty-eight small, round 3000K LEDs are tucked behind each of the dome’s scallops to light the “ribs.”
