PERFECT DRIVE
The 12th hole at Atlantic Golf Club is a dogleg left par 4 that presents a true risk reward decision off the tee. Three bunkers stretch across the middle of the fairway forcing players to choose their line. Lay back short of the bunkers and face a longer approach into a green that’s perched above the fairway, or take them on and set up a much shorter wedge shot for your second. For the longer hitters, the green is reachable off the tee, but precision is critical. A drive with the correct distance but slightly offline can find the surrounding fescue, leaving a difficult second shot. The green features a strong false front on the right that sends balls rolling back toward the player, leaving a delicate pitch shot to recover. It’s a hole where smart decisions create scoring chances, where core positioning can quickly turn that opportunity into a difficult par or worse.
