On the Range
Before we know it, a new golf season will be upon us. Before we reach warmer months, however, there are several announcements, projects, and events from the MGA scheduled for the coming months:
Beginning with the March issue, The Met Golfer will include a new “health and wellness” feature, in coordination with Hospital for Special Surgery. HSS experts will share their knowledge on relevant topics for golfers that focus on mobility, injury prevention and rehab, and other ways to improve your game this season. Keep an eye out for this feature in our next issue!
The MGA Foundation Winter Sweepstakes is back! Beginning Monday, Jan. 19, you can enter to win a number of great prizes, all while supporting the MGA Foundation’s initiatives. Prizes include exclusive golf experiences and more, including a grand prize trip to Streamsong Resort. Keep an eye on your email and the My MGA app to enter. Your support of the sweepstakes directly impacts MGA junior events and programs, the GOLFWORKS student intern program, the MGA Adaptive Golf Program, youth caddie initiatives, and scholarships.
In February, the MGA will debut the 2026 Championship Preview Show Presented by Dewar’s on its YouTube channel. Hosts Chris Gaffney, MGA director of championships, and Shane Bacon from the Golf Channel will share of the preview of the upcoming championship events.
The MGA is pleased to share its schedule of 2026 Caddie Academies! Designed for young men and women to learn the basics of caddieing, these after-school programs are led by MGA staff and local caddie managers. Registration is open!
You can keep up with all things MGA via mgagolf.org, @MGA1897 on social platforms, and the My MGA app.
