FootJoy has recently released new golf shoes and gloves under the Contour name.
Company officials say the shoes, which are available in cleated and spikeless versions, have been reimagined with more contemporary designs and an entirely new outsole configuration that has been modified with a wedge-shaped EVA insert designed to improve cushioning, reduce weight and add ergonomic support. In addition, the upper in these puppies features proprietary NappaLuxe leather that comes with one-year waterproof protection. And, as in the past, the last is “contoured” to closely match the shape of the foot.
The cleated Contours come in two styles: laced, in white, black, navy and grey; and Boa in black/charcoal. As for the spikeless model, known as Contour Casual, it is sold only in a laced edition, in charcoal, navy, taupe and brown.
Launched at the same time as the Contour shoes, the Contour FLX glove has a CabrettaSof palm that is made to be soft and comfortable and FiberSof material on the back of the hand for a better fit and added flexibility.
Contour FLX also employs precise placement of PowerNet mesh along the back of the hand, with finer elastics across the knuckles intended for improved moisture control. And a three-directional, proprietary angled ComforTab Velcro closure is added to further improve fit.
