The PGA of America and Patina Restaurant Group, the luxury lifestyle division of Delaware North and a culinary leader in the restaurant and catering industry, announced the extension of their partnership through 2034.
Patina Restaurant Group – which first entered the golf hospitality sector in 2021 – will continue as the official catering partner at annual events such as the PGA Championship, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and Senior PGA Championship. Patina Restaurant Group will also cater the 2025 Ryder Cup (Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York), 2029 Ryder Cup (Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota) and 2033 Ryder Cup (The Olympic Club’s Lake Course in San Francisco, California).

Among the many highlights for Patina Restaurant Group and PGA of America in 2024 was the return of the highly popular Championship+ Ticket, which included an all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverage program, an innovative initiative first introduced in 2022.
Statement from the PGA of America on the passing of Martin T. “Marty” Kavanaugh, 78, of Hobe Sound, Florida, on Nov. 2, 2024:
“The PGA of America mourns the passing of a legend of our Association, Marty Kavanaugh. Marty was a PGA of America Master Professional, a PGA of America Golf Professional of the Year and a PGA of America Hall of Fame Member.
“Marty was also instrumental in the creation and opening of PGA Golf Club as the first Senior Director of Golf Properties. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.”
A second-generation PGA of America Golf Professional, Marty’s golf career spanned 69 years. He was elected to PGA of America Membership in 1968.
While working for the PGA of America, Marty helped design and oversee the building of the PGA Golf Club at the Reserve in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He also was responsible for the concepts and development of the PGA Learning Center, PGA Education Center and the PGA Historical Center in Port St. Lucie.
