With ESPN 1000’s move into their new Chicago Board of Trade Building studio came enhanced video capabilities to complement the over-the-air broadcasts. The “CDGA Golf Show” presented by Glenview Park Golf Club has been able to utilize this upgrade to welcome guests in via video and share visuals from remote broadcasts. See below for some of the highlights thus far:
Presidents Cup International Team Captain Geoff Ogilvy was featured on the March 21 episode. He discussed the upcoming event, his work renovating Medinah Country Club’s Course No. 3 and more.
Bloomington native and Masters participant Brandon Holtz joined the April 4 program to discuss his preparation for Augusta.
A longtime golf journalist and Wheaton resident, Gene Wojciechowski shared his insights during Masters weekend on the ongoing event and his new golf novel, “All Carry.” (Interview begins at 2:04:16)
The second remote broadcast of the year emanated from Bettinardi Studio B in Oak Brook, where company president Sam Bettinardi joined while ESPN 1000 personality Carmen DeFalco went through a putter fitting. (Interview begins at 1:35:35)
The show will continue to air every Saturday from 9-11 a.m. through the Presidents Cup in September. Each episode can be accessed on ESPN 1000, the ESPN Chicago App, Twitch and YouTube.
