Nominations for the 2024 Class of the Texas Golf Hall of Fame opened on Jan. 10. The public is urged to nominate qualified individuals before the deadline on Feb. 21.
Following the nomination deadline, the list of nominees will be screened by the induction nominating committee to be sure they meet the eligibility requirements of the specific category for which they were nominated. There shall be no more than eight total nominees per category per induction year. Not all public nominations are guaranteed a place on the official ballot.
Nominations for individuals and courses can be made in six categories: Amateur Player, Golf Professional/Teacher, Lifetime Achievement, Professional Services (new in 2024), Professional Player, and the Texas Registry of Historic Golf Courses. This will be the Texas Golf Hall of Fame’s 30th class to be inducted since the Hall’s inception in 1978.

The 2024 Class will be announced in May and formally inducted in October in Houston. Tickets to the fall ceremony will be made available to the public as the details become finalized. The Class of 2022 was the most recent group to be inducted and included Ryan Palmer, Ronny Glanton, Gordon Johnson, Brad Elder, Barney Adams, and Houston Country Club.
The Texas Golf Hall of Fame continues to increase awareness of the remarkable history of Texas golf and recently celebrated two important milestones: the launch of an interactive digital museum and the grand opening of its new anchor site on the Northern Texas PGA’s campus at PGA Frisco, which serves as a supplement to the Hall’s main location at Brackenridge Park Golf Course in San Antonio.
Both venues incorporate QR codes which lead visitors to a one-of-a-kind virtual museum highlighting individual members with his/her own digital exhibit and collection. These exhibits include high-level films about each member, as well as separate videos diving into specific details of the individual’s career.
