Keith Abel is still living in Mystic, Connecticut. He is running his own boat dealership, Maritime Boat Sales, selling previously enjoyed boats and is a dealer for Tidewater and Jupiter Boats. He still likes to go to the bars and enjoys surfing, skiing, mountain biking, fishing, playing guitar, singing, and dancing. “Nothing has really changed; I am still goofy and silly. Looking forward to seeing you soon. If you are ever in Mystic, let me know.”
It’s been a busy year for Christa Mose. She retired from Phoenix Police Department as a detective after 23½ years in March 2022. Her fellow Phi Mus, Andrea Romich Sykes, Krista Shaffer Wilson, Claudia Pyers Eckstrom, Mare Sheehan Gallen ’96, and Holly Roback Plank ’96 flew out to Phoenix to surprise her and celebrate her retirement. In August, Christa moved to Germany with her girlfriend, Pam, for her career, and in January 2023, they were married in Copenhagen, Denmark. They are currently enjoying life in Germany and traveling around Europe.
In summer 2022, Edward Navarre was promoted to the rank of professor at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where he teaches Chemistry.
Scott Stout shared that his daughter, Kayla Stout ’20, received her master’s degree from Towson University in December 2021.
Tyler Wilson is still president of the Kiva Group, and Michele Reavy Wilson ’94 started a new position at Canuso Pipe. Tyler has also been a guest to the Board of Trustees at McDaniel and has enjoyed working with McDaniel as they move the institution forward. In December, Tyler’s daughter Mia Wilson ’21, M.S. ’22 graduated from McDaniel’s M.S. in Human Resources Management program. “We have all enjoyed being on the Hill to tailgate for sporting events with Matthew Wilson ’23.”
Matt Baker says hello from Austin, Texas! It has been a busy year helping Liberty explore colleges. Sadly, McDaniel is not in the running, with the majority of the candidate schools in New England. In January, Matt celebrated his 18th year at Dell Technologies, where he is senior vice president and head of corporate strategy. He often cites the importance of his time on the Hill to his career in tech, especially the impact that both Dr. Christianna Leahy and Dr. Pamela Regis had in developing his confidence and critical thinking skills. There are a surprising number of English and Political Science majors in corporate strategy roles in the Fortune 100.
Jim Gibbons and Danielle Paquette Gibbons live in Annapolis, Maryland. They recently celebrated their 50th birthdays and 25-year wedding anniversary over the summer in Napa, California. They met at WMC in their first year and have been together ever since. Jim owns a wealth management company, Alpha Pointe Capital, and Danielle is a teacher at the Naval Academy Primary School. They have two sons, 19 and 23, who are in college and graduate school respectively.
As for me, Julie Lucas Davitian, I am still happily living in Boston and working as a vice president at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
