The GCCISD Education Foundation hosted the Cowboy Boots & Goose Creek Roots benefit concert featuring Pat Green at the Hyatt Regency Baytown on Friday, October 27. Patients Emergency Room & Hospital have demonstrated their unwavering commitment to their mission by serving as title sponsors of the benefit concert and providing crucial support to the students and teachers of Goose Creek CISD. They truly offer the hometown experience and healthcare to our community. This fundraiser was held to support the students and teachers of Goose Creek CISD as a partnership with community sponsors to provide resources, enrich teaching, inspire learning, and opportunities for excellence.

Pat Green and his band took the stage a little after 8:30 p.m. and wowed the audience with his performance of songs that reached from the beginning of his career in 1998 to his most recent album, “Miles and Miles of You,” released in 2022.
People danced for over an hour, as Green talked and joked with the audience between songs. Green finished the show with his Grammy nominated hit, “Wave on Wave.”
It is important to recognize the effort and talent of the Stuart Career Tech High School students from Stuart Blooming Florist, who have taken the time to use their creativity and created beautiful centerpieces for the benefit concert. Their work not only showcases their abilities but also serves as an inspiration for others to get involved and make a positive impact.
Thanks to the generosity and support of donors who sponsor events such as this one, The GCCISD Education Foundation has been able to provide more than $1.9 million in innovative teaching grants and designated donations for special projects to district teachers in the last 14 years.
