PRESENTING
WOMEN’S AMATEUR
Lottie Woad’s sophomore season at Florida State launched with a victory in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, setting her off on a spring/summer spree of LPGA major appearances as well as a victorious effort for Great Britain & Ireland in the Curtis Cup at Sunningdale in England. She finished T23 in the Chevron Championship and T10 in the AIG Women’s Open at St. Andrews. She also collected third in the NCAA Las Vegas Regional, runner-up in the NCAA Championships and a Round of 16 run in the R&A Women’s Amateur, helping her join fellow Seminole Luke Clanton as a McCormick Medal winner for assuming the No. 1 women’s World Amateur Golf Ranking. Rianne Malixi, 17, of the Philippines had a banner year winning the U.S. Girls’ Junior and U.S. Women’s Amateur, both over Asterisk Talley, whom she finished runner-up to in the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley.
