PRESENTINGAllAM logoWOMEN’S MID-AMATEURFrench pharmacist Alexandra Vilatte Farret, 41, very nearly swept the women’s major mid-ams on both sides of the Atlantic. Farret – a former Ladies European Tour player and reinstated amateur in 2019 – won the European Women’s Mid-Am in Latvia in June before succumbing after 22 holes in the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur in September to eventual champion Hana Ryskova of Czechia, the 25-year-old who just completed her MBA and college career at the University of Louisville. Lauren Greenlief, 33, won her third Virginia Women’s Amateur title and came close to adding to her 2015 U.S. Women’s Mid-Am title by reaching the semifinals – her fifth time making at least the quarterfinals in her last six appearances.
