early 100 golfers from 23 states teed it up and bridged the generation gap for a fun-filled two days at the second annual PGA Family Golf Championship Sept. 28–29 at Disney’s Palm Golf Course operated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
This championship brought together teams of two to four players, who are either biologically or legally related, for a magical weekend of golf.
Champions were awarded in four divisions — Junior/Adult, Adult, Professional/Adult, Professional/Junior.
2024 PGA Family Golf Championship Division Winners:
Junior/Adult: Teams include at least one adult and one junior — Champion: Nick Kondratiuk and Andrew Kondratiuk (brothers), Dallas, Texas, 8-under
Adult: Teams include all adults — Champion: Nate Murphy and Stephen Peltier (cousins), Dalton, Massachusetts, 9-under
Professional/Adult: Teams include at least one PGA of America Golf Professional or LPGA Professional — Champion: Danny Elkins, PGA, and wife Leslie Elkins, Roswell, Georgia, 6-under
Professional/Junior: Teams include at least one PGA of America Golf Professional or LPGA Professional and at least one junior —Champion: Dave DeSantis, PGA; Holly DeSantis and Gordie Gatrell (grandson), Salt Lake City, Utah, 11-under
Brothers Nick and Andrew Kondratiuk had the lead for most of the two-day event in the Junior/Adult division and captured the championship with an 8-under, four shots better than second place. “It’s pretty special to play on a course where tour professionals have played,” Andrew Kondratiuk said.
Danny Elkins, PGA, was quick to credit his wife, Leslie, with their first-place finish in the Professional/Adult division. “She made the putt on the last hole to win,” said Danny (pictured fourth from left). “That was very cool, and she knew she had to make it to win.”

he PGA of America and William Hill Estate Winery announced last month that William Hill has been appointed as the “Official Wine” of the 2025 Ryder Cup. This announcement expands William Hill’s multi-year partnership as the “Official Wine” for both the PGA of America and PGA Championship through 2026.
Hospitality areas throughout Bethpage Black, site of the 45th Ryder Cup, Sept. 23–28, 2025, will feature a variety of selections from William Hill’s wine offerings. Additionally, spectators can enjoy William Hill’s Estate California Chardonnay at general concession pouring bars.
“We are thrilled that spectators will be able to enjoy William Hill’s premier wine offerings throughout the 2025 Ryder Cup,” says PGA of America Senior Director of Global Partnerships Luke Reissman. “William Hill offers a diverse wine selection, which will undoubtedly be a hit throughout golf’s greatest team event.”

The December 2024 PGA Magazine cover story will feature incoming PGA President Don Rea Jr. from Augusta Ranch Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona.
Rea was expected to become President at this month’s PGA Annual Meeting in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Nov. 5–8, taking over for John Lindert from Country Club in Lansing (Michigan). The December cover story will focus on Rea’s life, his time as a PGA Officer and what he hopes to accomplish as the 44th PGA of America President.
