The PGA of America’s PGA Coach suite of tools for the modern golf coach is expanding with a pair of cutting-edge new features this year. Users can now create a customized PGA Coach Performance Review to show the value of an instruction program to a facility, and coaches also now have access to the Onform golf video analysis solution as part of the program.
Both new features were announced and showcased during the 2025 PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit prior to the recent PGA Show in Orlando, Florida, with PGA of America Master Professionals Warren Bottke, Dr. Alison Curdt and Tim Cusick (pictured) appearing onstage to explain the features and benefits of each.
The PGA Coach Performance Review offers a customizable way for golf coaches to show the value of their businesses to their stakeholders. Users can determine the areas that are most important to their facility type, then easily enter data from their smartphones or tablet devices to create a Business Value of Golf Instruction (BVGI) report that is easily shareable.
Using the PGA Coach Performance Review is intended to be easier and more comprehensive than tracking metrics on your own using spreadsheets, point of sale systems or even paper calendars and notebooks.
“It can be hard to tell the story of the value of coaching to a facility to an owner or operator in an elevator pitch,” Curdt said. “This is something many coaches have done on their own, but now there’s a tool for all PGA of America Coaches to do it with seamless input using the metrics that are most valuable to your business and your facility.”
The PGA of America Education Committee conceived the PGA Coach Performance Review concept and has worked to bring it to life over the past two years. Golf coaches can access the tool at PGA.coach.
“Coaches are often undervalued,” explained Cusick. “With the help of the data from the PGA Coach Performance Review, industry stakeholders can recognize the influence of coaches on their business to help drive compensation and create job security. Why guess when you can measure?”
Curdt also helped introduce PGA Coach integration with Onform, a video analysis app that is accessible across devices to help coaches record swings and lessons, analyze technique and share feedback with students and social media.
“I’ve been using Onform for years, and it’s another invaluable tools for modern coaches,” Curdt said. “It has an intuitive workflow, and it creates trust with your students by helping you share lessons with them beyond the lesson tee.”

Launched more than five years ago, the PGA Coach platform has turned into a powerful suite of tools to help golf coaches grow and manage their businesses and become better at helping golfers enjoy the game.
PGA Coach includes all the tools PGA of America Professionals need to become modern coaches: training on the American Development Model (ADM), instructional videos, marketing aids that will help your business attract clients, and tools to help manage your calendar, bookings and payments. These can all be accessed from the PGA Coach app, with is a free download in both the Apple and Android app stores.
The first step in using PGA Coach is earning a certification in the ADM approach, which can be done in a few hours as you have available time. ADM is a proven model for developing athletes that is used by USA Hockey, USA Basketball and USA Lacrosse, and helps keep players engaged in the sport as they are learning it through positive early experiences.
After ADM certification, PGA Professionals can use PGA Coach to create their own PGA Coach Profile, which will help golfers who visit PGA.com find them more easily. PGA Coach has a dedicated team that helps with functions like Search Engine Optimization (SEO) that increase web traffic for participating coaches. Coaches can also create a customized PGA Coach Performance Review to show their value and understand the revenue they create for a facility, and new this year is a partnership with video analysis company Onform.
Students can even book lessons with PGA Coaches directly through PGA.com, and coaches can use the included PGA Calendar service to keep track of their lessons and clients – and to block out times when you’re not available. And the PGA Payments portion of PGA Coach helps process and track payments, whether you choose to have students pay in person or online.
If you’re ready to become a modern coach, go to PGA.Coach.com today and learn more about the benefits, and start your own journey toward taking control of your coaching business.
