Whitney Oaks (Saturday) won the 2025 NCGA Team Match title, defeating runner-up Green Valley (Thursday), 21-15, on Sunday at Poppy Hills.
It was the first team title for Whitney Oaks (Saturday). The Whitney Oaks (Thursday) team has won the title four times, including a record three straight from 2012-14.
In Singles play, Whitney Oaks edged Green Valley, 13-11. In Team play, Whitney Oaks won, 8-4.
Representing Whitney Oaks were Scott Alward, Kyle Gillmore, Rich Igou, Jason Hampton, David Knutty, Mike Murphy, Rich Quiroz, Jason Clark, John Reitter, Dan Robison, Mike Vasquez, Chad Coleman, Gerald Harshberger, Neil Page, Craig Conduff and Greg Drumheller.
The Team Match Program is a competition between players that belong to regular NCGA member clubs. Events use a format where two players from a side face off against two players from an opposing side in four-ball and individual matches concurrently, with players earning two points for a win and one point for a tie.
In the Consolation Match, San Leandro at Monarch Bay defeated Spring Hills, 19-17.
Green Valley won the Thursday League crown via a 22-14 win over Spring Hills. Whitney Oaks won the Saturday League crown after defeating San Leandro, 27-9.
