Nearly six years after it was first announced in December of 2020, the Presidents Cup is days away from teeing off on Medinah Country Club’s Course No. 3.
Geoff Ogilvy’s International side will look to upset the United States squad headed by Brandt Snedeker, Sept. 24-27. Whether it be as a volunteer, spectator or television viewer, CDGA members and golf fans throughout the Chicago District are expected to play a large role in this iteration being the event’s largest ever.

Each team’s roster of 12 players was finalized on Sept. 1, as six automatic qualifiers were complemented by six captain’s picks. The sides feature a combination of international golf stalwarts and exciting young talent.
Seven of the Official World Golf Rankings’ top-10 players will don the stars and stripes, headlined by FedExCup winner and World. No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (pictured). The squad features three Presidents Cup rookies - Chris Gotterup, Jacob Bridgeman and, most notably, Jackson Koivun, who turned professional mere months ago.
The cadre of International competitors will be anchored by Si Woo Kim (pictured), who enters as the squad’s highest-ranked OWGR player at No. 13, British Open winner Ryan Fox and past Masters champions Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott. Scott and Matsuyama have a combined 17 previous Presidents Cup appearances between them, while Fox, Ryo Hisatsune, Nico Echavarria and Nick Taylor will make their event debuts. In total, seven countries will be representing the International shield.
Fans will have nearly a full week to catch a glimpse of the world’s top players and Medinah’s hallowed grounds, with gates opening for the first time on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Following another practice day, competition begins with the Opening Ceremonies and Round 1 of matches on Thursday, Sept. 24. Another singular round of matches on Friday, Sept. 25 will set the stage for an action-packed weekend, with two rounds slated for Saturday, Sept. 26 and a full Singles slate set to bring the event to its conclusion on Sunday, Sept. 27.
It’s not too late to secure a ticket to see the intense action in-person. Regular grounds and hospitality admission are both still available.

The event will offer three different General Parking Lots that will include shuttles to the West Entrance. Parking in these lots costs $17 and must be purchased ahead of time
Nearby Eaglewood Resort & Spa will serve as the location for rideshare and spectator drop-off/pick-up
Metra’s Milwaukee District West Line will make multiple stops at Medinah Station, with a shuttle available to the West Entrance
Pace Bus Routes 714 and 715 stop at the College of DuPage, which is one of the tournament’s General Parking locations. This is not available as a service on Saturday or Sunday
