Another successful season of CDGA Fantasy Golf presented by Tour Edge drew to a close during the first weekend of August with the culmination of the AIG British Women’s Open on Aug. 2. The popular CDGA member benefit featured seven events for players to participate in, including all four men’s majors as well as the U.S. Women’s Open, the aforementioned AIG British Women’s Open and The Players Championship.
The 2026 schedule once again utilized the Majors Challenge platform of online live leaderboards, with CDGA members selecting teams of 12 golfers from four different player pools. More than 19,000 members competed across the seven tournaments, with an average of 2,780 entrants per event. The winners of each were awarded Tour Edge Exotics’ newly-launched Exotics LS or Max Driver, while 26 other competitors per event earned prizes from the likes of rounds of golf, golf equipment, CDGA merchandise and complimentary Jersey Mike’s subs.
Returning from 2025, the “Top the Teams” concept was another way for members to win. Teams selected by the CDGA, Tour Edge and the “CDGA Golf Show” presented by Glenview Park Golf Club hosts Tyler Aki and Mike Gilligan squared off against CDGA members for each Fantasy Golf event. Members who finished ahead of any of those select squads qualified for a chance to win bonus prizes.
Members who performed well during the course of the season put themselves in contention for the CDGA Cup, a season-long points race modeled after the FedExCup Playoffs. This year’s winner was Patrick Woulfe, who emerged at the top of the standings in part to his victory in the season finale of the AIG British Women’s Open as well as a top-five finish at the U.S. Open. Woulfe’s top performances propelled him to six points ahead of the second-place finisher. His strong play helped secure him the ultimate prize of the season - a full set of Tour Edge Hot Launch Max irons and woods, along with a professional fitting and golf bag.
A popular member benefit, CDGA Fantasy Golf will return in the spring of 2027.
