As you know, I travel to plenty of trade shows during the off season. I do have the opportunity to see a multitude of new product that will be hitting the market for the upcoming season. It is not often that a product just stops me in my tracks.
That is exactly what happened when I saw the Bow Spider. I was walking through the archery section of the Great American Outdoor Show. While I was passing the Bow Spider Booth. I saw that one of the men in the booth wearing a backpack. He grabbed a compound bow that was affixed to the backpack. He held up the bow in front of him and then seamlessly dropped it back into place on the backpack. I had to see what this guy just did.
The Bow Spider is made up of two main components- There is a post that is affixed to your bow or crossbow and there is a receiver that mounts to your backpack. You slide the post into the receiver and it is locked into place by gravity. It gives you the ability to be completely hands free. You can grab your bino’s and glass, climb your treestand or just spot and stalk. What an amazing piece of bow hunting gear!
It are additional attachments so you can attach the bow to your waist belt. You can have your bow at your hip for quick easy access. You can connect it to the back of your cars head rest while driving. You can also connect it to your hunting stand so you can sit and glass comfortably without having to hold your bow or crossbow all day.

As an outdoorsman, I am always looking for new activities to do in the outdoors. I had passed by the MineLab trade show booth dozens of times over the years.
