Tim Watson, the executive vice president and chief financial officer of AltaGas Ltd., has left the company. AltaGas has named D. James Harbilas to be executive vice president and CFO as Watson’s successor.
AVANGRID Inc. has appointed Robert Kump to the newly created role of deputy CEO and president. Anthony Marone will succeed Kump as president and CEO of Avangrid Networks Inc. Marone is president and CEO of UIL Holdings Corp. and the company’s utilities in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
At Avista Corp., Chairman of the Board and CEO Scott L. Morris announced to the company’s board of directors that he will retire from the company effective March 1, 2020. Morris will serve as the executive chairman of the board of directors until his retirement date but will transition his duties as CEO to Avista President Dennis P. Vermillion, who was elected CEO by the board of directors effective Oct. 1, 2019. Morris will serve as the non-executive chairman of the board following his retirement. Vermillion will continue to serve on Avista’s board of directors.
DTE Energy President and Chief Operating Officer Jerry Norcia has been named president and CEO. Norcia succeeds Gerry Anderson, who continues to serve as executive chairman of the board and as a full-time employee of the company. Norcia has served as DTE Energy president and COO since 2016; he joined the company in 2002.
Duke Energy has announced that Bonnie Titone will join the company as chief information officer. Titone was most recently vice president of information business technology at Pacific Gas and Electric.
National Fuel Gas Company has announced the following executive management promotions: Ronald C. Kraemer has been named president of National Fuel Gas Supply Corporation, succeeding David P. Bauer, who was named president and CEO of the company; Karen M. Camiolo has been named treasurer and principal financial officer of National Fuel; and Elena G. Mendel has been promoted to controller and principal accounting officer of National Fuel Gas Company.
Pacific Gas and Electric has announced the following promotions: Christine Cowsert has been promoted to vice president, asset management and system operations; and Peter Kenny has been promoted to vice president, gas transmission and distribution construction. Meanwhile, Jesus Soto Jr., senior vice president of gas operations at PG&E, has resigned from the company. PG&E has named Melvin Christopher vice president of gas operations and a principal executive officer.
The board of Sempra Energy subsidiary Southern California Gas Company has named Mia DeMontigny as chief financial officer, chief accounting officer, controller and treasurer of the company. Bruce Folkmann, who previously served in those roles at both SoCalGas and San Diego Gas & Electric Company, another subsidiary of Sempra Energy, will remain in that role at SDG&E.
