A video of supermodel Gisele Bündchen doing a perfect runway strut with a broken heel during a show in 2000 has recently been making the rounds on TikTok. “I think it’s a great metaphor for life, because when a curve ball gets thrown at you, do you crumble or do you rise?” says Bündchen, 43, who split with ex-husband Tom Brady, 46, in 2022. (She and the former NFL quarterback share daughter Vivian, 10, and son, Benjamin, 13, and she remains close to his son Jack, 16, with Bridget Moynahan.) “You got to rise.”
How do you deal with hard days?
You can’t feel guilty about prioritizing yourself. If I didn’t have all the tools I have, I wouldn’t be where I am now.
What makes you feel your best?
I take supplements [she has a partnership with Gaia Herb], and I practice meditation and yoga. I wake up 30 minutes earlier to do something that fills my tank. And I changed my diet: no alcohol, no sugar, no caffeine.
How are the kids doing?
Vivi loves animals. She rides horses at our home in Florida, and Benny spends hours drawing. Basketball is Jack’s thing. They’re flourishing into their own beings. —ALEX ROSS WITH REPORTING BY CHARLOTTE TRIGGS

“It’s so wonderful to see them do what they love,” Bündchen says of (from left) Benjamin, Vivian and Jack.
Russell Brand Faces Sexual Assault Accusations
Multiple women are accusing Russell Brand of rape, sexual assault and physical and emotional abuse. On Sept. 16 The Sunday Times, The Times and U.K. current affairs show Dispatches published a joint investigation in which several women anonymously detailed incidents involving the British comedian and actor, 48, that they claim occurred between 2006 and 2013. In a video posted to his social media hours before the story broke, Brand, who was married to pop star Katy Perry from 2010 to 2011, said his sexual relationships have always been “consensual” and called the claims “extremely egregious and aggressive attacks.” In the wake of the allegations, Brand’s talent agency cut ties with him, and his upcoming stand-up dates have been postponed. As of press time, no criminal charges had been filed against Brand in the U.S. or U.K. —ERIC ANDERSSON
