Christmas Cookie Challenge Hosts Ree Drummond and Eddie Jackson are back to oversee the action on this favorite series, and you won’t believe what the competitors are baking up in pursuit of the $10,000 prize: One of the challenges is to make a quilt out of cookies!
To get us ready for the show, Ree gave us her easiest-ever recipe for cookies—made with leftover pie dough. We cut them into leaf shapes for Thanksgiving.3
REE’S PIE CRUST COOKIESGather your pie dough scraps into a ball and roll out until ¼ inch thick. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters, then arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 350˚ until golden, about 12 minutes.
