Prevue: With attendees wanting to immerse themselves in a destination, how do you incorporate the culture of a destination into an event?
Musich: Atlantic City is a place for all to gather and learn. Our seaside destination has an extraordinary variety of ethnicities and cultures. There is rich racial diversity which is reflected in our restaurants, businesses, and culture. The city welcomes all demographics with a variety of food and entertainment choices. We continuously incorporate products from our local businesses into our amenity items and also provide suggestions and assistance for diverse restaurants and activities.
Tell us about some of the most innovative teambuilding exercises you've included in group programs?
From mini golf to destination scavenger hunts, we pride ourselves on teambuilding experiences in Atlantic City and work with many of our destination partners to execute fantastic teambuilding exercises. Along with teambuilding, Atlantic City continues to focus on citywide sustainability, and we offer a variety of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs to groups. Many organizations such as the Absecon Lighthouse, MudGirls Studios, Humane Society of Atlantic County and many more welcome volunteers to complete detailed CSR accreditation and help regenerate our destination.
Can you share some tips on how your organization thinks outside the box to create one-of-a-kind events?
At Visit Atlantic City, we created an incentive program for companies to create content to support our convention center and destination properties. The goal is to be part of the development of an idea or event that works for the destination and then develops into a sustainable annual signature event.
Our Destination Services team also attends various trade shows and events to gather new and unique ideas to enhance our events, while taking industry trends into consideration. From décor to food and beverage to activations, every detail matters when planning meaningful meetings and iconic celebrations.
