“As the largest portfolio of luxury all-inclusive resorts in the world,” says Violeta Sales, corporate director, MICE Americas, Inclusive Collection, Hyatt, “we are the experts in the category and believe each corporate event should be unique. The Inclusive Collection is committed to transformative environments where innovation and collaboration thrive, all with the backdrop of breathtaking settings.”
Sales notes that many resorts in the portfolio offer a variety of amenities, entertainment and activities for meetings to customize to what best suit their needs, such as “culinary creativity, dynamic meeting spaces, inspirational surroundings, cultural authenticity, innovative teambuilding activities, ROI at any budget or size and environmental responsibility.”
Sales points to a handful of Secrets Resorts & Spas as top recommendations for planners, alongside Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets, which debuted as the second property in the newly established ultra-exclusive, adults-only brand Impression by Secrets. “With a private, executive retreat feel, Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets offers an array of memorable exclusive group functions to customize, from private galas to casually sophisticated dinners,” she notes. This resort, which opened earlier this year and accommodates a maximum of 180 attendees in their ballroom, with four additional meeting rooms for incentive trips to utilize, is ideal for executive retreats and reward trips for top performers. Over at Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club, which is set to open its doors in October, attendees will find a boho-elegant decor and cenote-inspired courtyards with lush, exotic surroundings. The resort offers more than 5,000 sf of dedicated meeting/function space with the ability to accommodate up to 500 guests theater-style or 400 banquet-style in the Grand Ballroom. An additional two individual breakout rooms can accommodate up to 20 people or host an elaborate private dinner. Sales says that this Secrets property is ideal for incentive trips and teambuilding meetings.
The soon-to-open Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres feature more than 9,000 sf of dedicated meeting/function space with the ability to accommodate up to 600 theater-style or 500 banquet-style in its Grand Ballroom. She says the resort is just perfect for large corporate events and incentive trips. Opening next year, Secrets Tides Punta Cana offers more than 9,956 sf of dedicated meeting/function space and, says Sales, the resort is “making it a priority to offer non-typical meeting rooms to further immerse guests in the landscaping and picturesque views.” —Paloma Villaverde de Rico
