Some collection, huh? Shopping discounts for eligible* Members continue to be among the most popular perks around the neighborhood. A growing number of Members are using that discount to purchase items from the new Sorcerer Mickey merchandise collection that you may have seen @DisneyVacationClub preview earlier this year on Instagram. The collection includes everything from casual wear to sparkling accessories, with Mickey making magic on spirit jerseys, a vibrant MagicBand+, a velvet ear headband, an iconic Sorcerer Mickey hat and more.

Among the three championship courses offering that 15 percent discount is the newly renovated Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, just a palm sway away from the new Island Tower addition at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. Highlights of this sweeping refurbishment of all 18 holes include those along “Grumpy’s Gauntlet” – a reconfiguration of holes 14 through 17 designed to present a whimsically challenging test of a golfer’s skill toward the end of a round. The par 4 hole 14, for example, now features a green that slopes away from the center on all four sides, heightening the challenge of centering approach shots, while the par 5 hole 15 puts the hole a whopping 597 yards away from the back tees. And the playful themes aren’t limited to “Grumpy’s Gauntlet.” Every hole on the course now has a Disney theme and displays an inspiring quote from either Walt Disney or golf legend Arnold Palmer. The thematic fun continues at “The Greatest Green Ever Played,” an 18-hole, practice putting green (where pin locations change almost daily) named with a nod to the Walt Disney Pictures film “The Greatest Game Ever Played” (based on the inspiring true story of amateur golf champion Francis Ouimet’s surprise victory at the 1913 U.S. Open). The course’s renovation was part of a multi-year upgrade and modernization program that previously began with updates to Disney’s Palm Course and will continue with planned improvements to Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course.
