Picture This

A careful examination of the thoughtfully designed lobby of the new Island Tower addition at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows reveals the three types of stories told in and around the tower: Polynesian stories (pillars, for example, represent the natural elements that guided Polynesian wayfinders), conservation stories (note the biophilic chandeliers comprised of preserved plant materials) and Disney stories (a Moana mural rises over one end of the lobby). As you examine this recent photo of the space, see if you can spot the five details we altered for this edition of “Picture This.”

ANSWERS: From left to right, (1) the light has extinguished on a wall sconce near the entrance doorway, (2) a new potted plant has appeared by the pillar to the right of that sconce, (3) a trash can has vanished from an open doorway near the middle of the photo, (4) Moana’s feathered friend Hei Hei is peeking out from behind a plant near the pillar on the right, and (5) one of those biophilic chandeliers has grown longer.
