Join SIGMA in Las ColinasI recently returned from the SIGMA 2026 Winter Conference in Steamboat Springs, and I have to tell you, it was fantastic. The meeting’s workshop education was on point and interesting, focusing on strategies to boost retention, something all member companies are looking for. I also enjoyed seeing everyone during the evening receptions, and of course Steamboat is beautiful.Now that I am home, however, I am looking forward to spring – and the SIGMA Spring Conference in late April at the Ritz Carlton Las Colinas outside Dallas. This is the second time SIGMA will have had its Spring Conference in Las Colinas and I am looking forward to returning. The property is spacious and easy to get to from both sides of the country. In addition to hearing from featured speakers, there will be breakout education sessions (check the SIGMA website for the full listings), evening networking receptions, as well as the pool, golf, and pickleball.Now that I am home, however, I am looking forward to spring – and the SIGMA Spring Conference in late April at the Ritz Carlton Las Colinas outside Dallas. In early February, the SIGMA Legislative Committee met to review issues facing the association in 2026 and confirm SIGMA’s legislative and regulatory priority issues for the year. These issues will be discussed in-depth during the Legislative Issues Briefing in April. There are important issues on the horizon that you need to be aware of to prepare and protect your company. From transportation energy policies, to environmental policies, to the proliferation of state-level initiatives, there is a lot of risk out there. You don’t have to be a member of the Legislative Committee to participate – everyone is included, and all opinions are valued. Ask a question, relate an anecdote, and express your opinion. The interactive format of the session is what makes it so valuable.Participating in SIGMA’s conferences is one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to get value from your membership. I encourage you to check your calendar and block time now to attend the Spring Conference April 28-30 at the Ritz Las Colinas – and if you plan to participate in the SIGMA Open Scramble, you’ll need to arrive a day early as it will be held the morning of Tuesday, April 28^th at the start of the Conference.I am looking forward to seeing you.
