The annual lineup of recreational golf outings formerly known as TGA Fun Golf has been rebranded as TGA Member Events starting in 2025. The new name is intended to convey that going forward these playing opportunities will be only available to TGA members.
“This change reflects the TGA’s ongoing commitment to adding value to its membership by offering a wide array of exclusive benefits and meaningful experiences for members,” said Brian Fry, Director of Outreach/TGA Foundation. “It will allow us to build stronger relationships with our members while providing an increased number of unique golf outings played on some of the finest courses throughout Texas.”
The rebrand also aims to promote greater connectivity and participation among TGA members of all ages and skill levels by making it easier for them to get together to enjoy the game and each other’s company in a friendly and inclusive environment. Think of it as a great big buddies golf trip, except all the buddies haven’t met just yet.
And there will be a lot of ways for members to meet up this year to escape the stress of day-to-day routines and immerse themselves in golf, camaraderie, and good times.
The TGA Members Events schedule for 2025 runs from March through November and will feature a total of 30 events, including 27 one-day events (some of which are for members to invite a guest to play), plus three featured multiday events – the Texas Two-Step in March, Texas Shamble in August, and the inaugural TGA Member’s Cup in October, an exciting new match play competition to be held on Lajitas Golf Resort’s Black Jack’s Crossing Course.
“This year’s Members Events calendar is going to provide incredible playing opportunities and experiences for our members,” Fry said. “We are excited to get the season underway and visit new courses as well as old favorites.”
