As of January 2024, American Honda Finance Corporation (AHFC) has entered the insurance business. American Honda Insurance Solutions (AHIS), dba Honda Insurance Solutions, is a licensed insurance producer committed to delivering tailored insurance offerings that prioritize protection while enhancing overall value, says Petar Vucurevic, senior vice president of AHFC and president of AHIS. The agency and its website – hondainsurancesolutions.com – went live on January 11. The company’s dba is Honda Insurance Solutions.
AHIS offers vehicle insurance for any make and model, as well as home, renters, motorcycle, recreational vehicle, and even pet insurance. “Our tagline is ‘Secure what moves you,’” Vucurevic says. “It aligns with Honda’s recent tagline ‘How we move you,’ and implies more than just transportation. It’s the things that matter to you. Honda Insurance Solutions can help you insure all the big investments in your life.”
AHIS is the first step in AHFC’s larger insurance road map to integrate more services and create more value for customers in the vehicle ownership journey.
Long-term plans include integrating insurance offerings within a digital vehicle buying process, allowing customers to order a vehicle online, finance it, insure it, and then pick it up from the dealer. “We want to embed the insurance-buying process in that digital journey, to make it seamless for Honda customers,” Vucurevic says. While this type of integration is a few years away, establishing Honda Insurance Solutions as a licensed insurance producer lays the foundation for future expansion. Dealership participation possibilities will also be explored as the insurance roadmap develops.
Insurance offers benefits to the whole Honda ecosystem. “Ultimately our goal is to provide value for the customer.
