In late May, the MGA held a special event at The Meadow Brook Club in Jericho, N.Y., for its corporate partners. The “Partner Summit” provided an opportunity to foster relationships and share more about the state of the game and the programing and initiatives offered by the MGA and MGA Foundation throughout the Met Area. Following the morning update, Golf Channel’s Rich Lerner guided a discussion on the game with Peloton instructor Selena Samuela and No Laying Up’s Neil Schuster. The three had a candid conversation about how they became involved in the game, what they love most about the sport, and ways that it could still improve, while also touching upon current topics such as the upcoming Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. In the afternoon, attendees had a chance to tee it up themselves, getting a preview of what the Met Area’s top pros and amateurs will face in the 110th Met Open Championship Presented by Callaway this August.
