Baltusrol Golf Club will host the 2046 U.S. Open and three other future USGA championships – the 2033 U.S. Mid-Amateur, the 2039 U.S. Amateur and a future U.S. Women’s Open – the USGA announced last Wednesday.
The Springfield, New Jersey, club has one of the deepest championship histories in American golf. Baltusrol's 16 previous USGA championships – seven U.S. Opens, four U.S. Amateurs, two U.S. Women’s Opens, two U.S. Women’s Amateurs and the 2018 U.S. Junior Amateur – already rank fourth-most of any club, behind only Merion, Oakmont and The Country Club. With these four new dates, that total will reach 20. The 2033 Mid-Amateur will mark a first for the club, while the 2046 U.S. Open will be Baltusrol’s first since Lee Janzen’s victory in 1993. Baltusrol has also hosted two PGA Championships (2005, 2016) and a Women’s PGA (2023).

The PGA Tour named Notah Begay III the recipient of the 2026 Payne Stewart Award presented by Southern Company, honoring his character, sportsmanship and commitment to charitable giving, it announced last Monday.
Begay, 53, is a four-time PGA Tour winner and Golf Channel analyst. He will be honored at an Aug. 25 ceremony in Atlanta prior to the Tour Championship. READ MORE
Entrepreneur Brandon Ebert launched a fundraiser last Friday for California-based nonprofit Youth on Course in which he will drive E-Z-Go Liberty vehicles more than 400 miles from east to west across Kansas along Route 36, connecting 12 golf courses and playing 117 holes along the route.

Ebert, a Youth on Course board member, will engage golf facilities, junior golfers and local communities along the route to raise awareness of the nonprofit’s mission to provide youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf, with a fundraising goal of $25,000. READ MORE
