The Mizuno Pro line of forged irons expands with its Modern Series M-13 and M-15, introducing next-generation solutions for players seeking a bit more speed, forgiveness and playability.
The Modern Series, joining the existing Signature Series (S-1 and S-3), debuts with two distinct models designed for a specific type of ball striker. The M-13 features tour-preferred proportions and a faster, more consistent flight profile, while the M-15 delivers higher launch and additional forgiveness that blends smoothly through the set.
The M-13 (successor to the Mizuno Pro 243) combines traditional head shaping with modern three-part forging construction to offer increased speed through the long irons and greater precision in the scoring clubs.
In the 4- and 5-irons, a “pocket cavity” grain-flow forged construction merges Chromoly 4120 with 431 stainless steel to enable Mizuno’s thinnest Contour Ellipse face (about 35 percent thinner than the Mizuno Pro 243) to unlock higher ball speeds and distance while retaining the responsive feedback. The 6-8 irons use a “micro-slot” construction with a face 0.3 mm thinner than its predecessor to increase flex. The 9-iron through gap wedge use a single-piece 1025 Elite forging to prioritize precision and control, while a copper underlay and full-cavity ABS badge fine-tune vibrations and the triple-cut sole introduces sharper leading edges and beveled trailing relief.
The M-15 (successor to the Mizuno Pro 245) offers a fully integrated progression of performance from long iron to wedge. A multi-thickness forged construction, supported by a hollow body design, optimizes ball speed and consistency while preserving a soft, responsive feel. Tungsten weighting in the long and mid-irons has been strategically suspended within the head to help produce straighter, more forgiving performance. The 9-iron through gap wedge transitions into a partial hollow body with a stainless back to emphasize control, precision and maneuverability.
