The USGA announced three more players – Farah O’Keefe, Asterisk Talley and Anna Davis – who will be part of the 2026 U.S. Curtis Cup team.
O’Keefe and Talley earned automatic berths by virtue of their respective positions on the World Amateur Golf Ranking, and Davis was chosen by the USGA Team Selection Committee.
The trio joins Kiara Romero, the world’s No. 1 ranked amateur, who previously earned an automatic berth as the 2025 Mark H. McCormack Medal winner.
O’Keefe, ranked No. 4 in the world, earned the second automatic position as the next-highest-ranked American. A University of Texas junior, O’Keefe will make her Curtis Cup debut and has already won three collegiate tournaments in 2026.
In 2025, the two-time All-American finished runner-up in the R&A Women’s Amateur Championship in Scotland, reached the round of 16 in the Women’s Western Amateur, made the cut in the U.S. Women’s Open and represented the United States in both the Arnold Palmer Cup and the Women’s World Amateur Team Championship. O’Keefe and Romero are both members of the U.S. National Development Program’s Elite Amateur squad.
Talley, 17, earned the third automatic slot as the world’s No. 9 ranked player. She will make her second Curtis Cup appearance after competing in the 2024 match at Sunningdale Golf Club, where she defeated then No. 1-ranked amateur Lottie Woad in Sunday singles.
A four-time junior All-American and three-year member of the U.S. National Junior Team, Talley won the 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball (with Sarah Lim) and has posted runner-up finishes in the U.S. Girls’ Junior, U.S. Women’s Amateur and Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
(Megha Ganne, ranked No. 7 in the world, had secured a position on the team by virtue of her victory in the 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur and was in line to claim the third WAGR automatic spot. However, she intends to turn professional prior to the Curtis Cup and will not compete.)
Davis, who also competed for the United States in the 2024 Curtis Cup, first rose to prominence with her victory in the 2022 Augusta National Women’s Amateur at age 16.
Now a junior at Auburn University and a two-time All-American, Davis won twice during the fall portion of the 2025-26 collegiate season. Prior to the start of her third collegiate campaign, she advanced to the quarterfinals of the R&A Women’s Amateur Championship in Scotland and the round of 32 in the U.S. Women’s Amateur. She is also a member of the USNDP’s Elite Amateur squad.
The U.S. team will face Great Britain & Ireland in the 44th Curtis Cup Match, scheduled for June 12-14 at Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles. Four-time U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur champion Meghan Stasi will serve as U.S. captain for the second straight match.
The rest of the eight-player U.S. team will be selected following the NCAA Division I Regional events scheduled for May 11-13.
