Odyssey aims to fit everyone’s eye with the releases of 2023 Versa and Tri-Hot 5K putter lines.
The five new Versa models make alignment as simple as black and white with a lineup that features a blend of blades and mallets with Odyssey’s White Hot insert and red Stroke Lab shaft.
Versa’s high contrast alignment technology highlights the proper face angle from address to impact, allowing golfers to align the putter throughout the stroke. The black-and-white contrast lets the golfer’s eyes key in on the linear designs while highlighting face angle, for a design that can benefit any level of player.
Head shapes include Odyssey’s One, Double Wide, Three T, Seven (DB and S) and Twelve (DB, S and CS), all of which retail for $260. The newest generation of its red Stroke Lab shaft is stiffer and more stable and features a shortened steel section that reduces the weight by 7 grams.
The goal with the new Tri-Hot 5K lineup of 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum putters was to create a complete shift in performance with a new putter construction moving the center of gravity forward by leveraging new materials in its blade and mallet models.
Tri-Hot 5K putters are built to improve performance by reducing the amount of side spin on off-center hits, resulting in a tighter dispersion. Odyssey achieves this through a 303 stainless steel front section including the hosel and face area while the back section has been precisely milled to help keep the CG forward.
The improved forgiveness and roll are thanks to up to 120 grams of tungsten behind the face in the toe and heel sections. Interchangeable front weights (5, 10, 15 and 20 grams) allow golfers to dial in a preferred head weight.
Tri-Hot 5K ($400) head shapes include One, Two, Three, Double Wide (CH and CB), Triple Wide (DB and CS), Rossie (DB and S) and Seven (DB, S and CH), and all have White Hot insert and red Stroke Lab shaft.
