Hometown favorite Steven Fink won the Society of Seniors Founders Cup last Thursday at TPC Las Vegas.
Fink (above) shot 72-70 for an even-par 142 total and finished one stroke ahead of Robert Funk of Canyon Lake, Calif., who shot 75-68. A torrential downpour washed out the second round.
Ken Kinkopf of Jupiter, Fla., finished third at 2-over par. Kinkopf was looking for his fourth Society of Seniors victory of the season after winning the Jack Hesler, Senior Masters and Golfweek Challenge tournaments.
Adam Kugler of La Quinta, Calif., Craig Hurlbert of Magnolia, Texas, and Paul Weinhold of Eugene, Ore., shared fourth place at 4 over.
Another Las Vegas resident, Doug Pool, won the Super Senior division. He shot 68-72 for a 2-under total and finished one stroke ahead of Jeff Burda of La Quinta, Calif. Evan Long of Charlotte, N.C., finished in third at even par.
George Washburn of Frederick, Md., won the Grand Master division, shooting 76-72 for a 6-over total. He finished one stroke ahead of Steve Wilson of Solana Beach, Calif., Walt Martin of St. Augustine, Fla., and Jack Ramsey of Germantown, Tenn.
