PGA Coach is partnering with Preferred Video Partner Onform to provide PGA of America Golf Professionals and PGA Coach users with a streamlined way to deliver high-quality video analysis to students. This new integration offers coaches access to Onform directly from the PGA Coach app, improving efficiency and elevating the student experience.
“Onform is at the forefront of industry-leading technology, and we’re excited to expand the suite of digital tools available to our PGA Coaches,” says PGA of America President Don Rea Jr., PGA Master Professional.
Onform is a mobile video coaching platform designed to help coaches provide pinpoint feedback for students’ skill development with tools for recording, analyzing and sharing videos. Leveraging AI, cloud infrastructure and 3D visualizations, the platform is centered on aiding coaches in player development across more than 150 sports.
PGA Coach provides golf industry professionals with a full suite of resources, business tools and education, in addition to a marketplace for consumers to find and connect with coaches on PGA.com. Both Onform and PGA Coach are free for consumers connected with a coach.
PGA of America Golf Professionals can now integrate their PGA Coach app to ensure a smooth experience between the two platforms. This direct integration simplifies the coaching workflow and improves the communication between coach and student. Coaches can use the PGA Coach app to quickly access their students’ workspace provided by the Onform app, allowing them to record HD videos and immediately share feedback to students.
PGA of America Associates, individuals who are working toward Membership within the Association, and PGA Golf Management University Program students will also have access to Onform for educational use during the completion of their education.
Statement on the passing of Jim Dent, 85, in Augusta, Georgia, on May 2, 2025:
“Jim Dent was a trailblazer in our game, and he embodied the spirit of perseverance, determination and excellence that inspires us all,” said PGA President Don Rea Jr.
“I had the privilege of being with Jim recently, and he was proud to show me his PGA of America Membership card. His contributions to the game transcend his victories, as he opened the door for countless others to follow.
“We honor Jim’s legacy and his unwavering commitment to advancing this game we love for future generations. The PGA of America family mourns the passing of a legend.”
A participant in multiple PGA Championships and Senior PGA Championships, Dent suffered a stroke a day after attending the 2025 Masters to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Lee Elder becoming the first black player to compete in the tournament. He passed away three weeks later.
Born May 9, 1939, Dent grew up near Augusta National Golf Club, and was a caddie there as a teenager. After learning to play the game at Augusta Municipal Golf Course, the former high school football star achieved his dream of becoming a professional golfer in 1966, then qualified for the PGA TOUR in 1970.
In his 450 career starts, Dent had 25 Top-10 finishes and earned his tour card 16 years in a row. Extremely long off the tee, he was later dominant on the PGA Tour Champions, including winning four tournaments during the 1990 season (when it was called the Senior PGA Tour).
