Golf architect Jack Fleming, Sacramento icon Karen Swanson and former professional John Brodie will be honored as the 12th NCGA Hall of Fame class in a ceremony to be held Sept. 21 at Poppy Hills.
Fleming’s touch is all over NorCal. Between 1950 and 1967, he drew up plans for 36 courses in the region including Sharon Heights, The Club at Crazy Horse Ranch, Sierra View and Spring Creek. Along with being an outstanding player, Swanson was instrumental in the founding of First Tee Sacramento. Brodie was not just a prolific quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. The Bay Area native was also blessed with a fantastic golf game that led to great success.
Also being recognized will be KC Cote, who will receive the Distinguished Service Award for her longtime service to the game.
