NCGA Hall of Famer Lynne Cowan has won just about everything in Northern California.
Conspicuously missing from her resume, however, was a PWGA Legacy Open title.
She's now got that one as well.
Cowan, a longtime member at Sierra View Country Club, carded a final round 2-under 70 at Eagle Vines Golf Course to win the annual PWGA Legacy Open by a shot over runner-up Lauren Gebauer.
A day after a first-round 76, Cowan posted four birdies to go against just two bogeys to finish at 2-over 146. She'd need the birdies, as Gebauer, the defending champion, kept the pressure on.
Gebauer, coming off a first-round leading 74, was a threat before two late bogeys resulted in a final-round 73. In 2023-24 Gebauer was the NCGA's Women's Player of the Year.
Third place went to Eden Anderson at 151 following a final round 76.
