OVERVIEW:
Poppy Ridge Golf Course is one of two golf courses owned and operated by the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA), in addition to Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach.
The Poppy Ridge golf property officially reopens on May 31, 2025, after a 13-month construction and grow-in process, where a new 18-hole golf course has been created with completely new routing and state-of-the-art infrastructure.
Architect Jay Blasi designed this spectacular new 18-hole course to be an exciting tournament course for the world’s best golfers, while being enjoyable for all recreational golfers. Featuring six sets of tee box areas on each hole, this was an important design objective, as the NCGA has over 220,000 members who utilize Poppy Ridge as part of their NCGA Membership Benefits package.
The 18-hole course has all new turf, which was carefully selected to support outstanding playing conditions while becoming more water efficient. Similar turf has been used at several top 100 golf courses including the esteemed Valley Club of Montecito in Montecito and The Preserve Golf Club in Carmel. Additionally, significant investments were made below the turf to support ongoing excellent playing conditions.
In addition to the all-new 18-hole Poppy Ridge Golf Course, the facility has a newly renovated practice facility and short game area, and a fun, shorter nine-hole course, appropriately named “The Ridge 9.” From top professionals and amateurs to beginners, the Poppy Ridge property will appeal to a wider range of NCGA members and guests with the new 18-hole course, significantly improved practice facility and short-game area and an enjoyable, shorter 9-hole course.
