Become Part of An Amazing Team Supporting Golf in Northern CaliforniaNCGA.org/about/volunteerOur incredible team of over 300 volunteers makes everything we do possible. We invite you to join us in our efforts and become eligible for fantastic benefits including free apparel, golf shop discounts and even free golf! There are two volunteer categories: Tournament Officials and Course Raters.Tournament Official—You’ll be responsible for conducting NCGA tournaments, officiating the Rules, and monitoring the pace of play to ensure a first-rate experience. Assignments include starter, rover, live scorer, match referee and more. Rules training is available.Course Rater—You’ll work in a team of 6-14 depending on the facility we visit. Course rating is an all-day affair that includes collecting data on players’ landing zones and looking up table values based on our on-course measurements. Lunch is included.Once your application is accepted, you will be onboarded through our training program to familiarize you with our systems and processes. This ensures you have the confidence and knowledge to get out there and collaborate with the wider NCGA team.
