Pebble Beach Company and the NCGA have had a decades long partnership with an emphasis on supporting NCGA members. Recently, the two organizations finalized a partnership to continue the tradition of hosting several NCGA Championships at Spyglass Hill Golf Course among other NCGA member benefits.
Over 60 years ago, then-NCGA Executive Director Bob Hanna proposed a deal with Samuel F.B. Morse, founder of Pebble Beach Co., to help fund the building of a new golf course in Pebble Beach that could also host multiple NCGA Championships. This dream became a reality in 1966 with the opening of Spyglass Hill Golf Course, and the NCGA moved headquarters that year from San Francisco to the building overlooking the 9th green.
In the spirit of that original union, the NCGA is proud to announce a new partnership with Pebble Beach Co. where NCGA Members will continue competing in several Championships at Spyglass Hill, and one of its sister courses, Del MonteTM Golf Course. Within this new agreement, NCGA members will enjoy special Member Rates at Spyglass Hill and The Links at Spanish Bay™, and the NCGA will also host an annual “NCGA Invitational at Pebble Beach Resorts®” beginning in 2025. This event will be staged immediately following the PGA TOUR Signature Event, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Ed Quinn, NCGA President stated: “We are very grateful for the generous support of the Pebble Beach Co. We look forward to the opportunity to work together for the good of the game and the advancement of the NCGA's vision - - ensuring that golf is vibrant, inclusive and accessible."
Added David Stivers, Pebble Beach Company CEO: “Pebble Beach and the NCGA’s history have been interwoven for decades. This partnership further solidifies the synergy between these two storied entities and ensures NCGA Members will continue to enjoy access to our world-renowned courses for both championship and recreational play.”
The 2025 NCGA calendar of events will have Spyglass Hill Golf Course continuing to host numerous championships for NCGA events, including the recently launched NCGA Women’s Amateur Match Play.
