San Francisco native Jan Ferraris had some memorable moments during her career.
She won the U.S. Girls’ Junior in 1963 at the age of 16, and just three years later was named LPGA Rookie of the Year despite joining the Tour midway through the season. In between 1962-1965, Ferraris also won a still-standing record four straight San Francisco City Women’s Championship crowns.
Ferraris went on to win two titles on the LPGA Tour—the 1971 Orange Blossom Classic and the 1972 Lady Pepsi Open. She’d also get a win on the LPGA of Japan Tour (1973 LPGA Japan Classic).
