Get a team together and get in on all the action.
Registration for one of the NCGA’s newer programs, NCGA Player’s League, opens May 5 to every private, semi-private and public golf course within the NCGA region.
So how does Player’s League work?
Teams are comprised of seven players– six amateur members and one member from each club’s professional staff or seven amateur members. Clubs are arranged in groups of three, four or five and play a series of home and away matches within their assigned group. Each match can be ordered in any way or can be ordered based on Handicap Index, but played to scratch, utilizing the Player’s League points system to score matches.
The first match of the season will tee off Aug. 4.
At the end of the regular season, group winners meet in the NCGA Player's League Finals, which for 2025 will be held Nov. 20 on the new 18-hole course at Poppy Ridge.
Two teams from that event will then advance--along with two clubs from the Southern California Player’s League--to compete in the California League Championship at Poppy Hills on Dec. 15.
Registration for the 2025 NCGA Player's League season closes July 25. So you still have some time to get your seven together.

"What a great format! It was our first year participating, and we will definitely be back next year. The format kept everyone in the game throughout each round. A few bad holes didn't kill you. The camaraderie developed within the team concept was awesome and will carry forward for future seasons."

“The NCGA Player’s League continues to be an event that both my golf professional staff and best scratch players in the club look forward to each season. A great opportunity to hit the road to enjoy camaraderie and competition with local clubs with the hopes of qualifying for the NorCal Championships and a golf getaway to beautiful Monterey and Poppy Hills.”
