The North Palm Beach Country Club is a Village-owned and operated recreational facility. The golf course was originally built in 1926; it was designed by Seth Raynor and opened for play as Palm Beach Winter Club in 1927. In 2006 North Palm Beach resident, Jack Nicklaus and his design team donated their services by charging $1.00 and did an extensive re-design of the golf course The redesign included: new routing and hole designs, total re-grassing of all the playing surfaces, construction of new greens. After the Nicklaus renovation the course received many accolades. In 2018 the course underwent some minor changes including re-grassing of the golf course and built a $ 20 million dollar clubhouse that has the best views of sunset in Northern Palm Beach County. Recently in 2021, Golf Magazine ranked North Palm Beach Golf Course 20th in America for Municipal Courses and the #1 Municipal Golf Course in Florida. North Palm Beach operates as a semi-private golf course and is open to the public.
